Welcome

On behalf of all staff and governors I would like to welcome you to Fairfield Maintained Nursery School. The school was established in 1952 and many children's parents and grandparents remember attending. Over the years, various changes and extensions to the building and grounds have taken place. The Nursery School has been expanded to meet demand from the community and now offers 144 part time places for 2 to 4 year old children. The garden area has been continually developed and many children choose outside as their learning environment. The children also access our magical and exciting woodland area.

We aim to recognise and respect every child and their family members as unique individuals. As a staff team we have discussed and negotiated our 'Image of the Child', identifying what we think is important for children.

The organisation is committed to making sure everyone has the opportunity to reach his or her full potential. This is why we adopted our mission statement, 'Every bud deserves a chance to blossom'. We regard the organisation as a learning community where staff, parents and children learn together from each other.

Safeguarding is Everybody's Priority
At Fairfield Nursery School, keeping children safe is at the heart of everything we do.

I hope you find our website helpful and look forward to meeting you.
