It is a privilege and delight to welcome you to Fairfield Maintained Nursery School.

Since its establishment in 1952, Fairfield has held a special place within the local community. Generations of families have passed through our doors, and many parents and grandparents share fond memories of their own time here. I feel honoured to be part of such a rich and valued history.

At Fairfield, we believe that every child is unique and deserves to be valued, respected, and celebrated for who they are. Our dedicated staff team works hard to create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, happy, and inspired to learn. Together, we have developed our Image of the Child, reflecting the qualities we want to nurture in every child as they grow into confident, capable learners.

Our mission statement, "Every bud deserves a chance to blossom," sits at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to ensuring that all children are given the opportunities, support, and encouragement they need to reach their full potential.

We are fortunate to have wonderful learning environments both indoors and outdoors. Our continually evolving garden encourages exploration and discovery, while our magical woodland area provides endless opportunities for adventure, curiosity, and imagination. Many of our children choose to learn outdoors, developing their confidence, resilience, and love of the natural world.

Fairfield is more than a school; it is a learning community where children, families, governors, and staff work together and learn from one another. Building strong partnerships with families is incredibly important to us, and I look forward to getting to know each child and family who is part of our school community.
